Superbowl XLI
I have no idea how I am going to get any work done the next two weeks.
After week 5, a friend and I bought four Superbowl tickets because it was obvious to us that the Chicago Bears were destined to be champions this year. I don’t know why it wasn’t so obvious to everyone else.
Anyway, it is still not obvious, as the Colts are big favorites. It is gonna be really fun to be down in Miami to watch Eli Manning’s brother throw the final interception that seals the Bears’ victory.

Work, Vegas, and Bears. Oh My.
Work this week kinda sucks. I don’t mind if there is a whole lot to do or if things are pretty laid back. But this week things have been laid back until there is a crisis and then it is really busy. It is the worst because I get anxious about going to Vegas this weekend when I am not too busy at work but then something comes up and I suddenly get stressed out.
All will be good when I win a dime on the Bears and Miami is one game closer.

2007
I have been wondering what the proper form of a new year’s resolutions are. Are they things that you want to start at the beginning of the year, or are they goals that you want to have done at the end of the new year?
I think most people do the former, but then it seems so easy to do something for a short while and then stop. I am pretty goal-oriented, so my resolutions are in terms of the things that I want to accomplish by the end of 2007 (in no particular order).
- Remember all my close friends’ and family’s birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions
- Reply to all mail, email, and messages from my close friends
- Get to the point where I can accomplish all of my 2008 goals at work while working less than 50 hours a week
- Start volunteering at least two hours a week, preferably as a big brother or tutor
- Write two papers and submit them for publishing
- Lose 15 pounds
- Get fully settled into my new condo, including all furnishing and decorating
- Have no debt except for one mortgage
- Go on at least one photowalk each month so that I can learn how to use my camera
